Skin Peels
Rejuvenating skin peels are some of the most popular services provided by Dr. Monasebian. We focus on three types of skin peel treatments that can dramatically improve the texture, color, and brilliance of your skin.

Chemical Peels
La-Roche Posay BioMedic Micropeel
The MicroPeel® is a three-step process that removes a micro-thin top layer of skin. This top layer is a significant obstruction to having better skin because it is pore-clogged. The procedure is safe, effective, and is accomplished in 15 - 20 minutes.
La-Roche Posay BioMedic Micropeel Plus
The MicroPeel® Plus is a fifteen minute in-office procedure that will help smooth fine lines and help even skin discoloration while simultaneously reducing the appearance of acne scars and environmental damage to the skin.
TCA Skin Peels
TCA is a non-toxic chemical that has been used to perform skin peels for over 30 years. Unlike some other peels, TCA peels have the advantage of creating a fresh natural appearing complexion, while preserving the normal skin color. For this reason, they are often referred to as "freshening peels". TCA peels can effectively improve many conditions, including:
- Dull, weathered skin
- Freckling
- Blotchy pigmentation
- Sun damage
- Fine wrinkles
- Shallow acne scars

Dermabrasion
Dermabrasion removes a layer of surface skin to improve the appearance of facial scarring due to acne, chicken pox, injury or other causes, as well as uneven pigmentation, wrinkles, sun damage, tattoos, age spots and certain kinds of skin lesions. The skin is frozen, typically with a spray, and then abraded with a high-speed rotary instrument for a dramatically smoother, fresher look. After the procedure it is normal to feel a sensation similar to sunburn for a week or so, at which time most patients are able to return to work. The newly revealed skin will likely appear pinker than usual for two to three months. Patients should be sure to adequately protect skin from sunlight.

Dermasweep Microdermabrasion System
This next generation microdermabrasion system eliminates the messy and often times irritating aluminum oxide crystals that most microdermabrasion systems rely on to remove dead skin. Instead, Dermasweep features a closed system that features a variable level vacuum pump that gently lifts the skin surface as the device "sweeps away" the dead skin. This medical-grade system results in a deeper peel and polish of your skin. Dermasweep is also used to individualize treatments to specific skin conditions such as acne, sun-damaged or hyperpigmentation. Early signs of skin aging are also treated using Dermasweep's unique Epidermal Infusion treatments.
