Silicone Gel Breast Implants are back!!!

After 14 years, the FDA has lifted the ban on Silicone Breast Implants and women may get Silicone Breast Implants for cosmetic augmentation as long as they are over 22 years of age. Dr. Monasebian was one of the surgeons participating in the clinical trials that have now allowed the FDA to put these implants back on the market and his expertise in placement makes him well experienced in breast augmentation.

Women who are ideal candidates remain those with small breasts or who have lost volume in the breasts after pregnancy and breast feeding. The effects of pregnancy and breast feeding can lead to irreversible changes in a woman’s body. Breasts tend to sag or droop due to massive changes in the size and weight of the breast especially if breast feeding is performed. Breast lifting may also be performed with the breast augmentation. In all cases the incisions for breast augmentation are small and well concealed.
