CryoProbe® Cryosurgery

What Is Cryotherapy?

Cryotherapy is a procedure in which extreme cold produced by liquid nitrogen is used to destroy abnormal tissue as an alternative to traditional surgery. Cryosurgery usually means patients have less pain and quicker recovery times than traditional surgery.

What Is The CryoProbe®

The CryoProbe is a small, portable pen like instrument that uses inexpensive and disposable cartridges of nitrous oxide to deliver quick and effective Cryotherapy treatments. The CryoProbe uses different size applicator tips for enhanced accuracy. This allows the probe to treat the tiny lesions around the eyes.

Why Choose CryoProbe® Over Cryotherapy?

CryoProbe treats the lesion; not the healthy surrounding tissue. By just treating the lesion CryoProbe greatly reduces the pain normally associated with Cryotherapy.

What Can Be Treated With The CryoProbe®?

Common Treatments include:

  • Warts
  • Porokeratosis
  • Skin Tags
  • Actinic Keratosis
  • Condyloma acuminate
  • Angiofibroma
  • Dermafibroma

The CryoProbe also provides immediate treatment and offers no exposure to dangerous gases or liquids. With CryoPen there is no anesthetic needed and the treatment is less painful than other methods currently available.

At this time, we are postponing all elective procedures and surgeries. We are open and are only seeing patients at an emergency level treating lacerations, fractures and burns for both children and adults. We value the health and safety of our patients. In doing our part in keeping with guidelines and regulations when seeing patients, we are doing our best to stagger appointments to maintain social distancing. Coronavirus – Covid - 19

From everything that is presented to the public, the prevention recommendations related to the Coronavirus is the same as the prevention recommendations related to the flu season. Here are the CDC’s recommendations to date:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning agent.

The CDC does not recommend that travelers wear masks to protect themselves from the coronavirus. You may choose to wear a mask, but it is more important that you follow these everyday prevention practices.
