I saw Dr. Monasebian for a rhino/septoplasty. After the initial procedure, a calcification formed that was noticeable —- not due to Dr. M, just the way things healed. He removed the calcification at no additional charge, and things have since healed beautifully. Not only is the staff professional and kind, but they are great at what they do.

I have been seeing Mr. Monasebian for about four years now. I was in a really bad car accident which resulted in my face being horribly disfigured. I had seen a previous plastic surgeon which had told me that from 1-10 my situation based on difficulty was 100 and that it would be better if I would see another Doctor. I found Dr. Monasebian and immediately during the first consultation he reassured me that he would be able to help make my deformities look better. Honestly, I can say my face looks a thousand times better and as a result of that it has restored a lot of confidence I had lost. I feel like I got my face back and my life back too!! Dr Monasebian and staff were amazing. I had a large fatty tumor removed from my back. It was done as an in office procedure in the onsite operating room. I went to see Dr. Monasebian because I had developed a problem with my c-section scar, ten years after the fact. I was not only unhappy with the way it looked, but built up scar tissue had become painful wearing certain clothing, anything that fastened around the waist with a button, snap or zipper. It had really become a problem. Not only did Dr. Monasebian completely understand my concerns, he supported the fact that I should be happy with my appearance, and that alone was reason to correct the problem. He and his staff could not have been more informative, professional, comforting and caring. I was clear on the details of my procedure from beginning to end and have had outstanding follow-up care. I consulted Dr. Monasebian not due to a medical necessity but plain vanity. It is true that one of my doctor friends did mention that more than likely my end of day eyestrain was partially caused by my heavy upper eyelids. My eyes drooped and I looked just old and worn out. The fact is that my “bag eyes” also reminded me of my father and grandmother and I thought I looked tired all the time. I did consult a doctor in my region, but it seems that eye procedures were just another operation he performed. I wanted someone that was more specialized and experienced. I don’t believe in advertising claims, photo books of specific patients, or self promoted articles in limited edition magazines. What I wanted was a doctor that was recommended by someone in the medical community that had used the doctor. My favorite source of recommendations is nurses as I have found them blunt and opinionated- and have no conflicts of interest brought on by patient referrals. The recommendation was two (2) procedures; Forehead or Browlift lift and Eyelid Blepharoplasty. In order to fix my eyes it was necessary to work on the upper and lower lids. The operations went smoothly and within a few days the stitches were removed from my brow. There was minimal bruising or swelling and within a week I was able to get out and hide most of the effects behind glasses. Within six weeks all the bruising was gone and when I returned home- not one person noticed a change. The only comments were that I looked good or “had a good night’s sleep”. That was the desired effect that Dr. Monasebian mentioned in the initial interview. Along with the bag eyes I had a tree stump neck. Ok- it was not the “no neck” sort, but a total failure of definition of jaw line. The solution was neck liposuction and it was much less painful and the final result was a more clear definition of my jawline. The swelling was minimal but it was two months for one area to finally become flat. I followed the pre and post surgery instructions and took only 1 of the pain pills. The only suggestion I would make is to get a larger gel pad to ice your eyes. I found one that covered both eyes and most of my brow at one time. For the first few days the rotation of cold on and off your face seems to make the difference. The last question might be ” Would I do it again?” The answer is yes.

I was originally referred to Dr. Monasebian through my orthodontist for a chin augmentation back in 2008. When I went for my consultation, I was extremely nervous of course, but Dr. Monasebian and his staff was very attentive and understanding, being this was my first time having any type of major surgery. He answered all of my questions and even made himself available after hours and via email. I think I was the most nervous about not really understanding all of the “medical lingo” that I’d experienced with other consults and that I would be pressured to just “have the procedure”. Dr. Monasebian did not pressure me at all…quite the opposite, he gave me reading material and directed me to places where I could continue my own research to make myself feel comfortable about the life-changing decision that I was getting ready to make. On the day of surgery, I was a wreck and SO nervous, but his staff made me feel comfort, and even when I requested they call my sister the second I finished and was in recovery, they obliged. The results of my surgery were amazing and in the weeks of my follow-up, my chin looked better and better. Years later, when I made the decision to have a BA and Lipo, I didn’t even do any research, because I knew I only wanted to deal with Dr. Monasebian. I received the exact same level of professionalism and reassurance that I needed, and to this day, I am absolutely thrilled with the results. Dr. Monasebian is a fantastic plastic surgeon and I would highly recommend him for the procedures that I have had. He is knowledgeable in his field and brings humanity into the conversation that he has with his patients. He’s professional, upfront, and above all honest, which I extremely valued in my search for a plastic surgeon. I will be visiting Dr. Monasebian again and would encourage if you are in the NYC area and seeking a PS, to visit his office for a consult.

A few years ago I had a skin cancer lesion removed from the side of my nose. A flap was constructed to cover the damaged area. After a while, the area became depressed and my nose disfigured. After several disappointing surgeries by other physicians, I read about Dr. Monasebian in New Beauty Magazine. I’m extremely pleased with the results of my recent surgery. I was impressed with the short wait time and care and communication provided by a professional and friendly office staff. I plan to return to Park Avenue Plastic Surgery in the future.
